In the Words of Our Patients: TMJ Treatment Is A Game Changer
Friendly, caring, sincere, accessible, holistic—these are a few of the words patients have used to describe the Center for TMJ & Sleep Solutions NW. Our patient testimonial page is full of people talking about the relief they’ve found after coming to one of our clinics.
TMJ issues are painful and disruptive, and the symptoms are easily confused with other disorders. People who experience them are often frustrated because they have been unable to find a solution after years of going to their general practitioner. We are here to help!
TMJ Disorder is Difficult to Diagnose
TMJ problems do not always manifest as jaw pain. Many people with Temporomandibular Joint Disorder have symptoms that seem completely unrelated to the jaw joint, including:
- Headaches
- Ringing in the ears
- Neck pain
- Tingling in fingers
- Earaches
If a patient has one or several of these symptoms, a general medicine physician may not consider the possibility of TMD. Most patients are not diagnosed until they see a doctor who specializes in TMJ disorders.
Live Pain Free
Our patients see results quickly once they’ve received a proper diagnosis. TMD treatments are designed to relieve pressure on the jaw joint and place the jaw in the correct position, among other things. We use non-invasive methods, namely oral appliances, to correct jaw joint dysfunction.
Once a patient starts their treatment plan, they usually stop needing medications to manage their pain. They gain the freedom to eat what they want because they can open their mouth as wide as they need to bite into their food, and their jaw does not hurt or get tired while chewing.
Regain Control of Your Life
Our goal is to give people the relief they’ve been seeking and allow them to live their lives unencumbered by the debilitating effects of TMD. As the patients in our testimonial video explain, receiving TMD treatment is incredibly liberating. Their lives are changed forever. They no longer experience daily pain, they sleep well every night, and they feel much better in general.
