TMJ disorders are considered medical and not dental issues. Dental insurance is not utilized within our clinic for TMJ services. We bill medical insurance only.

Coverage for TMJ treatment varies greatly based on the insurance plan and is often limited to surgery only. Some insurance plans have a TMJ exclusion clause in the policy.

For TMJ services, we are in network providers with the following companies: Kaiser Permanente, Tricare and TriWest (VA). Because of our commitment to provide the best and most up to date treatment for our patients, we choose to be independent (out of network) providers for other medical insurances.

We request payment of any applicable co-payments at each appointment. If Insurance is selected and utilized for billable services, as a courtesy, we will send claims to your insurance company on your behalf. If using a cash pay discount plan for treatment, we will not bill insurance.

Our team is experienced with medical insurance coverage for the services we provide and we will do our best to maximize your insurance benefits. We also accept credit and debit cards, CareCredit, and have office payment plans available. These services are also HSA and FSA eligible.

You will always be given a financial estimate prior to treatment.

Chronic pain and lack of proper sleep robs people of the ability to enjoy life, negatively impacts relationships, work, and contributes to poor health. There is nothing more rewarding to me as a medical professional than to be able to help patients and restore their quality of life.
